Occupational therapy aims to enhance the best performance in all daily occupations, when for some medical condition they can no longer be performed. These difficulties can be present from birth, develop with age, or result from an accident, illness, or injury. They are related to the ability to play, eat, perform hygiene, dress/dress, perform school activities, and interact with others.
Occupational Therapy evaluates sensory, perceptual, physical and social functions, as well as the environmental factors that influence their performance in activities, identifies areas of dysfunction and involves the client in a structured program of meaningful activities in order to overcome the difficulties provided by their health condition.
